I will have a look see if I can find it for you.Ĭurrently I'm driving my Bastani Mandala's with my Chord Dave which has a 2W output with pleasing results. I recall reading about about Nelson Pass recommending using a resistor across the binding posts in a ZU which changes the impedance from 16 to 8 ohms with one of his low power amps which transformed that same sucked out mids impression. It should allow your Naim amp to see 8ohms but I would email Naim first to confirm it’s safe.

The third paragraph down may help you out. Reading how the TT2 can drive efficient speakers directly would that be a realistic option in my case? I am assuming that I’d run from the RCA outputs so would need 2 runs of single RCA to 2 binding posts? Would the roughly 8W suffice or would 16ohm speakers not be appropriate for this direct drive option at all? My listening room is average modern new build living room (don’t know the measurements off the top of my head). The latter are 16ohm and easily is a clear mismatch between the Naim and the Zu and the consequence of this is that, as I hear it, the mids are sucked out. It may seem strange to resurrect this so far down the line but I’ve been pointed in your direction and this does seem the appropriate thread. Long messy story as to how I got here but I currently have an Innuos Zenith 3 acting as server of ripped CDs as well as streaming radio via a Chord Hugo2 TT in DAC mode into a Naim 202/200/HC DR and NAPSC into Zu Soul Superfly.
